From tinctures and oils to capsules and edibles, there are many ways to consume CBD. Here are a few of the ways to use CBD:
ORALLY:
Swallowing CBD oils, tinctures, edibles or capsules is one of the easiest methods of consumption. It can be added to food or drink as well. With this system of intake the liver metabolizes the cannabinoid thus making it bio-accessible.
SUBLINGUALLY:
CBD can also be ingested sublingually, or taken under the tongue. This method is said to act faster than just swallowing it, as the cannabinoid is absorbed into the bloodstream by the mucosal membranes inside the mouth.
TOPICALLY:
CBD oil is often added to lotions and creams, CBD Topicals, which are applied to the skin. Some products are transdermal, which means they are absorbed into the bloodstream after rubbing into the skin.
INHALATION:
CBD oil can be vaporized and inhaled. This is called vaping. You must use special oils designed for this purpose: i.e. CBD oil for vaping, e-juice or vape cartridges. This is the fastest method of consumption.
